Oversize loading checklist

Pre-trip checks for machinery & oversize loads to minimize risk and delays.

Before pickup

Confirm permits, escorts/pilots, and route restrictions are approved
Verify crane/forklift capacity and lift plan on site
Inspect trailer type (RGN/double-drop/extendable) and securement gear

At origin

Measure L/W/H and weight; document photos
Check center of gravity and securement points
Ensure flagging, lighting, and signage as per permit

Docs & safety

BOL with commodity + dims; escort/crane vendor contacts
PPE required; weather & wind threshold awareness
Emergency/contingency contacts list
